A Loan For The Lonely

Waddup ya'll? Its been a nice minute since we've updated but we got a few things for you.

First off, the Undercult show was amazing. It was an honor to perform with Black Milk. He's without a doubt an inspiration to our craft and he and his band of Daru Jones & AB brought the house down. Salute to those brothas for real...

Also, the following week we rocked with hometown favorites Cornel West Theory & Diamond District. Kev Brown & Trek Life made some special guest appearances and those cats are like fam to us. Definitely can't wait to rock with them again.

And last but not least, this is the first taste from our upcoming LP: Makin' Dollas. The homeboy Zack Schamberg held us down with the camera work once again and this is what we came up with. Enjoy!

7/20/10 Update

Wassup people? I promised ya'll I was gonna try to do more updating on dis innanet stuff so bam...here we are. The show last Thursday with Ana Tijoux, Rebel Diaz & DJ Ethos was fun as hell. They are all good people to rock with and a nice sized crowd came out to support us.

The homie Chchcharlie was able to get a few good shots of us at work:

We've also got some more good news. We were just added to the Undercult showcase this Thursday which features Jerome Baker III & Black Milk at the Gibson Guitar Lounge (709 G St. NW). This is definitely something that you shouldn't miss if you're into good music. We'll reveal a great deal of songs from our upcoming LP, Makin' Dollas, and get loose as usual. Plus there'll be free liquor. I hope there's no more incentives needed for you.

Peace & Light

DTMD at Club Liv This Thursday (7/15)

I know its been a while since we've updated, but we've been hard at work trying to make sure our second effort is even better than our first. Over the weekend we went to the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival (which was dope as hell, I may add) and did a little shoot for something that may be on the album. If you know us, we're more about doing things than really talking about it.

But we are performing in a few days with international emcee, Anita Tijoux, and Rebel Diaz at Club Liv (11th Str. & U Str. NW). You can grab your tickets in advance at http://reroutedc.com for 12$ and or it will be 18$ at the door. We're working hard to improve everything about our music including our live set. Hope to see you out!

Go Hard Or Go Home (Dir. Khiry Loines)

We alluded to a documentary being filmed for us a month or so ago and we recently received the finished product. I have to say it didn't come out bad at all. It kind of reminds me of something you'd see on basic cable on a Saturday. Think of it like NBA Inside Stuff only without Ahmad Rashad. We had some fun filming this and the footage will only become more valuable and sentimental with time. Hope you enjoy it.

*be on the lookout for:
- a misquoted lyric *slaps self on wrist*
- sometimes low talking, still camera shy and all that
- some of the beats in the background. kinda hard not to not your head at some parts

DC Chillin'

The other day we stopped through to chat with the main man Lucas over at DURKL.

The brand has come a long way, and have done a great job since day one of expressing the exuberance and ambition of this local scene. Not to mention the CONNS brethren got ties with them as well. We're all on the up & up!

They've got some great stuff cooking up for the fall/winter line, and even more around the city.

check em out if you're around Gallery Place:
